Presenters and Details of the Sessions :

Arjan Bouw has been dancing the 5Rhythms for 26 years and has taught the Waves level of this practice since 2005 and Heartbeat since 2010. He is teaching Open Floor since 2016. His embodied heart is evidence of these teachings. He lives in the countryside in the Netherlands and teaches internationally.

His down to earth humanness creates safe spaces in which the life force can find its way to move through and out onto the dance floor.

Arjan has a theatre background and is now therapist as well.

Together in the Body, in the Rhythm

The intention of the session is to work without music and find first sounds, then words to move to.
Words that describe and invoke movement.
Words that transport energy, trigger us, move us.

How can we use the music of the mind to move bodies?
On one hand it is the nature of the mind to distinguish, divide and discriminate.
On the other hand it has the creativity to bring opposites together.
Let us allow our creative mind to become full in the body. Let us practice bodyfulness.

Chloë Goodchild is a singing philosopher, vocalist, teacher, author and founder of the Naked Voice, a pioneering experiential vocal training programme, providing a sound awareness toolkit of conscious core practices, music, audio-books and spoken meditations that empower you to find and to embody your authentic voice.

Please note that Chloë will hold the session for us from distance.

Together In Our Naked Voice

The intention of this online session is exploring our own naked voices - and using it as embodied tool for our teachings.

Marie Motais is a professional dancer, choreographer and co-founder of Tamalpa Institute France.

She is certified in many different approaches including 5Rhythms and Life Art Process, and is currently training practitioners in her own approach - AnamCara.

In her work, Marie combines the somatic and artistic approach with the spiritual wisdom of the first nations as well as with ecopsychology and ecofeminism.

Together with Nature

The intention of this session is to give ourselves time to experiment - individually & in group - our physicality and our perceptions, feelings, metaphors of life... - as a journey of coming back to the roots of our own belonging to the world.

We will then have a common inquiry on "going towards" process, regarding our own artistic and/or teaching researches & practices.

Jamie Catto  is an author, film-maker and musician running transformational workshops and events to reclaim all the treasure we edited away into the shadows and facilitate everyone daring to be more real, more fallible, more tender, more intimate.

He facilitates these professional, personal and creative breakthroughs by drawing from his own processes in ground-breaking film production, philosophy voyages and music career.

Jamie Catto is the creative catalyst, producer and director behind the global philosophy and music project ‘1 Giant Leap’, and a founder member, singer, art director and video director of Faithless.

Shadow Teachers

The ’true’ inner teacher, trusting spirit, trusting flow, not too self obsessed

Next to

The more ego-teacher inside us all, who is ‘busy’ teaching - inquiring what ’shadow’ parts of us arise when we are teaching, what are the unconscious dangers which are not helpful but are more ‘compensating’ for lack of belief, insecurity, control issues, even maybe vanity?

What part of us arise in the shadows when we teach?

Then we meet those parts in a way to be curious and welcome them and trust that they ’think they are helping’ (even when they are not!) and we lovingly relieve them of duty and give them new roles and jobs.

Full Potential Transmission

Exploring teaching through transmission - how they teach in ancient China, but filling the room with the energy you want to teach, by energetically transmitting to each other the ‘belief’ to the ’truth’ that they are all already able to enter this field and exploring how we give and receive energy without words on the dance floor - and we will experiment with exchanging different flavours of energy, sometimes giving, sometimes receiving, and allowing the different energies to dance us, so that we are passengers ’being danced’.

Adam Barley is a movement catalyst, author, and the founder of ZeroOne, an evolving mystery school based on embodiment, presence and enquiry.

He began studying healing and meditation in the early '80s, training with Gabrielle Roth in the '90s to teach the 5Rhythms, and more recently completed Gabor Maté Compassionate Inquiry training.

He has built a world-wide reputation for transformative experiences that combine influences from dance, voicework, tantra, trauma-informed therapies and meditation.

Being in service to the aliveness and fluidity of the field

To explore, in movement, the interplay between relating to specific people and being part of a group. We’ll place an emphasis on being in service to the aliveness and fluidity of the field, rather than one’s own personal gratification or comfort.

Tools teachers will practice for their own teaching: to trust their perception and creativity, and to be in service.

Andrew Holmes has been teaching the 5Rhythms for more than twenty-five years. He studied extensively with Gabrielle Roth, and runs workshops in many countries. For twenty years he also worked as a theatre director. He lives in England with his partner Sharon.

Andrew teaches with precise subtlety, imperceptibly guiding you deep, without fuss. His gentle compassion creates a safe space in which transformation can happen. He works with a light touch, and an embodied intelligence, bringing great delight to the spiritual practice he loves.

Together in Spirit

My session will draw on the threads of all that has come before, weaving the wealth of our experiences into a new whole. We will move from diversity and individuality to unity, resting together in the holding of something bigger than ourselves. And we’ll notice how to use the simple elements of our practice to deepen together.
