In this session we will explore the workings of the nervous system which lives and breaths inside all of us 24/7. It dictates our reactions or responses to life. It is a great skill to understand the workings of our nervous system as most of it is unconscious.
The knowledge can support us:

1. In being aware of where on the nervous system spectrum we are at any given moment and how we can shift /change in order to support our teaching
2. It can help us understand the behaviour of our students as we learn to recognise their reactions/responses to our teaching.

About Caitríona

Caitríona is a 5Rhythms and Open Floor teacher. She is based in the West of Ireland. She has 40 years experience teaching in a variety of setting having been trained originally as a second level teacher in the Irish education system.
She is also trained in Sensorimotor therapy and Mindful Self-Compassion.

She is passionate about the link between the information on the workings of the brain and its link with embodied movement practice.
